In a hilly position, half an hour by car and train from Florence (the train station is 1,600 metres from the property), 10 minutes from the Mugello Circuit and the ‘Poggio dei Medici’ Golf & Country Club, Villa dei Marchesi awaits you in the green Tuscan countryside, at the foot of the Apennines. The Villa represents an excellent opportunity for those wishing to spend their holidays in the countryside but close to all amenities and centres of interest; it can be a starting point for exploring the surroundings of Mugello, but also a base for visiting the art cities of Tuscany and Romagna.
The villa, dating back to the 18th century and recently renovated, is on several levels and comprises 6 independent units for a total of 26 places. The furnishings are finely detailed, guaranteeing the atmosphere and authenticity of an 18th-century villa, with period furniture and antiques. The structure lends itself very well to being rented out as a single room as on the ground floor there is a large dining room where everyone can comfortably eat together, while on the first floor there is a fully-equipped professional communal kitchen. The use of the professional kitchen is only permitted to the chef appointed by the property or to professionals with HACCP certification, subject to approval by the property.
It is possible to organise events for a number of people within the maximum capacity of the villa, in which case the owner will be happy to provide her trusted caterers and follow guests step by step for all their needs.
Surrounding the villa is a well-kept and evocative Italian garden with its statues, hedges and centuries-old trees. In this fairytale setting we also find the beautiful infinity pool (6m.x11m., depth 150), for the exclusive use of guests, with a shallow water area for children and a relaxation corner with hydro-massage. The park is also equipped with a gazebo, armchairs, tables and chairs, where guests can relax for an aperitif or dine al fresco, also using the barbecue at their disposal.
